Just one question for home builders in general, not specific to this development … Why build a 2800+ sf house and put in a downstairs bath the size of an airplane lavatory? Old folks, people with disabilities, big-boned people, etc. … they might all appreciate a bit of elbow room![/quote]
Absolutely agree that a first-floor, large (master?) bedroom and full bathroom — large enough for wheelchair use — should be standard in all two-story houses. IMHO, this should actually be code for ADA purposes.
Anyway, would you guys ever consider building custom homes (designed by the buyers, not tract homes with “customized options”) for people on 10,000++ SF lots with no Mello-Roos or HOAs? I think you could do very well with such a project. We would love to do something like that.
