Agreed, WHATAD, the US figure of 6.4/1000 is actually nothing to be proud of considering how wealthy we are. Cuba, as poor as it is, is better than us at keeping babies healthy — it just shows how screwed up our priorities are that it’s not a national shame that we don’t have the best infant care in the world. Why don’t our presidential candidates talk about that? Maybe it doesn’t sell well to the public…
