Again, I don’t think La Plage or Winwood have HOAs. If I had a choice, I’d consider those over the ones w/HOAs b/c eventually, hopefully, the Mello Roos will be satisfied or close to it and then you’ll have to MR on the older places, whereas the condos will have HOAs forever, w/likely special assessments down the road.
If you want new, though, I think the places along the 56 corridor built during the bubble will be coming down to what the twinhomes are selling for today, which is in the 600-700k or so range now and if I were looking in that area, I’d rather have a new place for that price. Older homes inevitably need maintenance and can get costly.
