This board drowns in crocodile tears not seen since Boehner. I’d like to see all of these QQers put their money where their mouths are and live off food stamps in the projects. Apparently it is like living in paradise, but they wouldn’t survive a day without their flat screens and iPhones and prescription meds. This detachment from reality is sickening.
Why people can’t be proud of their hard work and successes without pissing in the Cherrios of those less fortunate that them blows my mind.[/quote]
AFX, I don’t have an Iphone a flat screen and sure as hell will never take one prescription med in my life unless I was on my death bed (I had a permanent side effect to one years back) and I have spent time in the projects. In fact I grew up in the projects and I busted my ass to live in a better place. Maybe your mommy and daddy payed your way for college, mine didn’t. In fact, I worked 50-60 hours a week while going to school and unfortunately couldn’t finish because the bills starting piling up. Maybe I should also mentioned that I had to get a job while in middle school to help support my mother as well.
It’s not a matter of knowing what it is like to live in the projects. It is knowing how to educate those who are currently there. Our country gives way too much. I’m not saying to take the money away, but more to take control of the money we are handing out. I am not pissing in anyone’s Cherrios. You have to understand the frustration of those who do live under their means, pay a lot in taxes and are watching their businesses and portfolios crumble day by day!
