I have the same reaction to SQL Server, IIS, Windows Server … etc.–why would you use a game platform to run a business? If you need training wheels grab Ubuntu’s server distro, or at least Mac OS X Server.
And yes, it’s OK to be emotional about tools. I greatly prefer my Snap-On mechanic’s tools, Tek and Fluke test equipment, and Veritas hand planes even though “just as good” alternatives exist.
As the old saying goes: you can tell a lot about a workman from his tools.
