When I bought mine I researched a lot of brands. The Korean made units seem to be the highest rated (Sunpentown, LG, etc) but I have no experience using anything but the one I have now. The exhaust bracket on mine is about as airtight as it could be without doing some semi permanent installation. It’s basically a big piece of plastic that covers part of the window that the exhaust hose attaches to. I guess if you wanted to you could put weatherstripping around the cracks but with portable AC that’s probably the least of your problems.
