Afx: Your points are well taken and, unfortunately, moot. Like I said, I certainly wasn’t on the stump for Perry (because I think a more virulent Dubya is probably NOT a good thing), but his message on jobs will resonate.
Obama’s problem is not one of intellect, but of leadership, and that feeds directly into the various polls (and not just those sponsored by Fox News) that show a dazed and uncertain electorate. Perry has been hammering away on this point and he presents a confident facade with an easily understood message: “Texas creates jobs”. The facts right now are not nearly as important as the visceral impact of that statement. People are fearful, uncertain and, most importantly, UNEMPLOYED.
