After reading that news report, I have to agree with LA; it sounds sketchy.
First, the dog “slips under the fence” of the storage place where he lived with his owners. Then, a mystery man finds the dog and takes it to Dogtopia, a doggy daycare facility (very strange). Next, another mystery man picks up this dog after describing him and his name to the workers at the daycare center. It is after this that the owners claim their dog was stolen (yeah, right). Finally, another mystery man returns the dog to is owners…who are **making payments** on a dog that they claim is worth $4,000.
Now, I’m no dog breeder, but I don’t believe for a minute that this dog is worth $4,000. And it certainly wouldn’t make sense for someone who is so poor that they have to finance their own dog to own a dog that costs this much when they can get a certified one from a pet store or breeder for about half that price.
