Absolutely. Nothing quite like hanging that first picture and going “ah, this is my freaking wall, I can make all the holes I want and not have to worry about my deposit.”
It cuts both ways though, such as the moments when the roof leaks, the water heater pisses all over the garage floor, the drain backs up, etc.
