This guy apparently doesn’t understand that what was “okay” during the last few years wasn’t okay before then and won’t be okay for the next 5 years at the very least. He’s living in the past and he doesn’t even realize it.
The winner of any game is the one who best understands the rules that comprise the environment and can best operate within that environment. This guy seems to want the environment to go back to the way it was, which basically can’t happen at this point. He’s wasting his energy trying to go back to the same old thing. He needs to understand the new rules and anticipate how those rules will evolve into the near future if he wants to start closing more loans.
Seeing as how he’s not adapting, he’d be better off just getting the second job. At least he’d have some cash coming in.
