BG, I’d be the first to admit many of the legal benefits many families have taken advantage of when building real estate portfolios in CA over the years may not be “fair” in many ways–but they are what they are for the many reasons mentioned here–at least for the time being.

When we, and many people we know chose this path, no one ever dreamed San Diego, and the state in general, would develop as it has.

When, in the late 1800’s, some of my relatives were clearing land in areas that developed into major neighborhoods around the city, I’m sure they never imagined the magnitude of what lay ahead.

We appreciate the opportunities we’ve been given, and realize they were simply a matter of being at the right place at the right time with the right resources and vision to make the most of it all.
