Why F around with the Libyans? The french can handle it on thier own with a little help from the British.
This would be an excellent oppurtunity not to support a UN ratification and show the rest of the world what it feels like not to have support as have the French in the past.
Plus and the main reason for my objection to the aid of the Libyans is… Japan! It is in dire need of help. We should be helping them! This would be an excellent chance to train for usage of military forces in the event of a domestic crisis. We utterly failed ourselves in a small scale situation such as Katrina. Let see how well we can aid our allies in a time of dire need while gaining real world experience for our own domestic future use!
Killing is easy. Destruction is easy. Building and healing is a far more worthy and noble task that our military should learn to administrate.
I know I sound like Brian for once… But this is a far better use of our tax dollars and a real chance to show the world “our might”.
