Well, for those who care places like youporn work fine in Safari.
I don’t know. As a developer I get frustrated on a daily basis with the limits Apple imposed onto me. Could be as trivial as not being able to control the focal point of suck/genie transition (the trash sucking photos or emails on delete) without using private API, my last night’s time waster. On the other hand, many users would not approve of an app digging up the email address associated with the iTunes account.
Once I exit my circle of geeks people appear to be more like TG and they don’t seem to care about the inability to customize the look&feel of the ‘OK’ button.[/quote]
captcha, it’s about choices and being able to do something. Being able to do something, even if it’s bad for you is still better than having someone else telling you that you can’t do it because they know what’s best for you. You can search those site just as well on Android’s browser. Even sites that uses flash ;-).
I totally agree with you have development and iOS. For crying out loud, you can’t even do strike through on your text easily. If you try to step outside of their “preferred” look and feel, it gets soooo much harder to do.
I wouldn’t go as far as not caring about the inability to customize but maybe they don’t know any better.
