Do not misconstrue my previous statements to be in anyway an endorsement of the current system. I believe a completely socialized system may even be preferred to the Frankenstein’s monster that was just implemented. Unfortunately both are a long cry from the kind of system I would favor, which would be a high deductible individual market (w/ no employer provided care) combined with a bare minimum socialized care model reserved for those who were truly and painfully destitute.

I am not just talking generic medication, but even first come first served endless wait times. Hospitals more akin to 40’s triage centers than modern standards.
