Any opinion on old Scripps vs. New Scripps?
And yes, I am willing to fix up a place.
Both areas are nice, it’s just a matter of preference. We lived in New Scripps for many years, sold our place, and are now renting in Old Scripps while we look for a new home.
Old Scripps has the nice Eucalyptus forests, but I would say only about 20-30% of residents have really kept their places current. There are quite a few old 70’s homes that look it and need a coat of paint.
New Scripps, being built more recently, looks newer as a result. A bit more like a standard tract home neighborhood, but the landscaping is spotless overall, and you can eat off the streets.
I think if you toured 5-6 homes in both areas, you would immediately know which one fit you better.
