In any case, I do think that as long as there’s a solid foundation, as in a family life at home, moving could be a good experience. Children adjust. More importantly, I think maybe better able to deal w/the changes as you get older, jobs, etc, which inevitably happen later in life.
I have a good friend who got a wonderful job opportunity in another state, but didn’t want to leave b/c she grew up here her whole life and was scared.
Mind you, this job would have been an excellent opportunity to make new friends/connections also, as the job is very social. It was something I could not relate to. For me, I guess b/c of my background, it would be a big nothing to move for a better job. Yet for some people, it’s the end of the world. She doesn’t have kids, is not married, does not own a house.
