The worse part of this is when I view listings on-line and see the poor up-keep & brown lawns combined with children’s bedrooms with bright colors and the usual assortment of kid’s toys. As I know some of these are just “poor timing” problems. I know families that had to move as the bubble was building due to company relocation, moves for members to different locals to move up into management positions, and individuals moved by companies as part of growth and expansion.
The bailout will not “help” this group as pointed out but only serve to lock them into their dilemma for some time to come.
I continue to look to purchase a home for my family – still looking at Fall of 2010, not by luck or choice but by company relocation needs myself… luck plays a part & it appears timing will be on my side. As I look at properties I think I could be one of these I see on-line if my situation/timing was different – still think I would have rented first but it could have been very easily me.
