I’d say that Cameron Hughes is pretty consistent when it comes to uner 15 dollar wines. I also like Costco’s yearly foray into Shiraz. A large proportion of the other Kirkland label stuff is not really good value for money, especially the pinots.
As to a good relationship with a retailer, I actually agree with you sdr, I try to buy from Vintage for exactly that reason. On the other hand wine is a commodity. One who’s price has accelerated far faster than income growth.
Since I spend thousands a year on wine, I think it a good idea to ask others how and where they acquire the good stuff as it is expensive.
I haven’t seen Yellowtail offered here in Sydney once in two months! I have seen some posters for it.
