I used Mac and PC when I was in school. I can say unequivocably that Mac is waaay more stable than PC.

That said, unfortunately, finances will only allow me to get a PC. The newer the MSFT version, the more trouble. I have an old desktop computer at home that still runs on 95 and I refuse to upgrade. Had a laptop w/Windows XP that up and died. It crashed but not nearly as bad as what I have now. Just went and got a new one w/Vista and I HATE it. I am very close to just getting a Mac. They cost so much, but sanity is very valuable.
