    Four candidates who died while campaigning won their elections on Tuesday. Two deceased candidates lost.

    In California, state Sen. Jenny Oropeza (D) won re-election with 59% of the vote. Oropeza, who was 53, died two weeks ago from complications of cancer. The local Democrats, however, mailed supporters encouraging them to vote for Oropeza anyway.

    It makes sense to vote for the dead candidate if the only other choice is a candidate you oppose. If a dead candidate wins – they have to hold a special election.

    And with our gerrymandered districts, there will always be a large sympathy vote. Better to vote for the dead guy outa respect and later on elect his party line successor in the special election then it would be to elect the _____(insert opposing political party here)______ Ahole who is secretly/Openly (circle one) trying to destroy America.
