I received this email. I unfortunately don’t have spare room. I thought I’d post here in case anyone wants to pay it forward (or maybe planning a trip to Italy in the future that perhaps a favor can be returned) or knows of someone who would like to help.
“Due to unforseen circumstances I am looking for a new host family for an Italian high school student, age 17. This is a volunteer opportunity for a family interested in learning about Italian culture and sharing american culture. The student will be here through the end of the high school year in June. She is very mature and very responsible. She also is strives to do well in school. We would transfer her to the local high school that the new host parents live near. She enjoys running in the morning and swimming as well. Please send this out to your group if you can. We could really use your help!
