    Since I am not planning to buy a house soon, I decide to get a new car.(The dealer told me you can deduct the sales tax when I file my tax return.)

    I am thinking to buy a 09 Toyota Corolla LE. Now Poway Toyota dealer’s price is about $17000, which I think it is too high. They are offering $1500 rebate.
    How much shall I start bargaining with them?
    Advice is very much appreciated.

    Try another dealership. Try a buying service (e.g. through Costco or some insurance companies), which should get you the fleet price. Try carsdirect.com. Anything but going to one dealer only and playing their game by their rules.
