    Are we just going to have to suck it up? Or can a populist movement rise up and dismantle Washington and get rid of the crooks contained therein?

    Are we too populous a nation to stage a meaningful revolt? Too many sheeple, maybe? Too much military infrastructure?

    These are serious questions, folks. Has anyone else pondered just WTF this all means for the future of our country. It would appear that Rome is burning again.

    Let TIME run its course. Here is one of the better post on Calculated Risk about the necessary steps moving forward. It is a great read, you could even say CR is somewhat of an optimist here. Either way this will take years to correct not months.

    How do we get out of this mess? That’s easy. We locate another planet that has yet to experience an asset bubble and bid those assets up. Then, using our knowledge of this planet’s bubble, we sell out at the peak and bring the profits back to Earth. Mssrs. Bernanke and Paulson, et al – I am available for consultation on this project… at an appropriately bubblicious rate, of course. Let’s do lunch.
