Hi seer,
If only it were as simple as “Buy with CASH when rates are HIGH”. But how do you get a real rate of return on that cash for the next x years if rates stay low?I guess your advice on buying houses is a little like Buffet’s on buying stocks: “Buy low, sell high”.
Real easy….

teaboyParticipantdavelj,
Smart thinking, save some trees. But realize that the Kindle isn’t the only ereader out there. The Sony Reader is an arguably better, if less known competitor. I have a geek pal who has one of both (I said he was a geek) and he said the Sony Reader wins hands down. Check out the online reviews.
FYI: Sony is coming out with a new version, the PRS-500, in December which has wireless downloads & touchscreen. Might be a nice christmas present to yourself πTB

teaboyParticipantThanks again UR.
Awesome. Bought in 1989 for $200k, sold 20 years later for 3 times the price at a loss of $200k. Only in America.Where the #$%& did $600k go? That’s $30k/year. I hope they blew it on something worthwhile like coke and hookers and not a new vw jetta…
Curiously, tho, the MLS remarks read “Not a short sale”. Is that perhaps a case of self-delusion?

The wikipedia definition: A Forced Sale of Real Estate is an action taken in a civil court forcing the owners to sell the property at issue and divide the profits. The profits are divided, generally under a reliance damages theory, that would best restore the owners to the position they would have been in had the contract never been entered into.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Distress_saleSo is the above property a Short Sale or Distress Sale?
