What’s to complain about?
Our economy was misaligned toward too much consumer spending and not enough saving. Higher prices and interest rates will cause to eat less, buy less junk, and save more. Not too bad.
No, higher REAL interest rates would cause that. Right now real interest rates are negative — a huge disincentive to save — and the Fed will ensure that they remain negative, to the extent it’s able (which as I’ve often said is until the foreigners pull the plug).
The uprising in North Africa and the Middle East are showing what higher prices will bring. The Bernanke is flooding the world with money, exporting inflation in the process and it’s driving all commodities up. Rising food costs are catalyzing all the riots in North Africa and the Middle East. I think it’s also represents the fist steps of ‘foreigners’ pulling ‘the plug.’

raty4RParticipantThe only comment I can add is… as the prices go up and down and maybe down more and then up… Remember “why” you bought it. if you bought it cuzz it’s shiny and pretty it will always be. If you bought it to preserve purchasing power and a as a headge, well then when the worlds finances return to normal it’s time to sell.

raty4RParticipantI agree with SK for the most part. I got my puppy at 5 weeks, no problem with potty training. Some breeds are ‘cleaner’ than others. If you have any former urine stains a male dog will remark his territory. Like the others said dogs want to do good, so you use praise when they do so. Tell them NO or find another word/phrase to use when they do bad. Use that word EVERYTIME they do bad. My dog learned NO means stop what your doing, whatever your doing. I used it in a way that wasn’t mean but made sure she understood to stop. Like when eating a treat I would say NO and she would stop eating it, then say OK to continue, then a bunch of praise and extra treats. This conditioned her to understand what NO means. If she found a burger on the sidewalk and started eating it, I would just say NO and she’s drop it, if she was chasing a cat into the street I would just say NO and she’d stop.
Watch them all the time when you first get them and do like others say, take them to the spot you want them to go. My dog didn’t like using the same spot all the time might be genetic too much smell in an area might give away their location to other animals, I think. Good luck. I really miss having a dog πraty4RParticipantI agree with SK for the most part. I got my puppy at 5 weeks, no problem with potty training. Some breeds are ‘cleaner’ than others.
