Shrinkage is everywhere and a form of inflation that I wonder if the government even picks up on. When they say inflation is 2% I always wonder what universe they are in, obviously not the one I live in.
moneymakerParticipantI caught a Jewish service online from the east coast, it was interesting. I was just commenting on the whole imbalance of religion on TV, I’m not looking for a new religion, just thought it was interesting. There are plenty of other religions out there that I’m sure most people have never been exposed to Taoist,Hindu,Buddhism, along with the 72 sects of Muslim.
moneymakerParticipantI have a bird feeder outside that attracts all kinds of birds, last week it even attracted a perigrine falcon. Of course he was there to eat the birds and not the bird seed. Really cool looking bird with red eyes, I think there might be a pair of them out there. I’ve never seen a baby perigrine or a baby owl or baby raven or a baby hawk, in the wild. Obviously they are out there somewhere.
moneymakerParticipantBeing clean is sexy in a weird way. This goes for guys and gals. Remember in high school riding home on the bus there was this one girl who must have had gym class last and even though she wasn’t by normal standards beautiful, her wet hair and clean look was a real turn on for me, can remember it like it was yesterday. Guess I better go take a shower!
moneymakerParticipantI would rather pay this $20-$25 fee than go have my 4 year old vehicle smogged for $60-$80 and waste my time as well as the time of the technician at the smog station. Is there a choice? Or is this a yearly fee where it ends up costing the same either way? Smogging my 2015 VW Passat is on my agenda today, fees due to DMV $370.
moneymakerParticipantThat sounds pretty cool but also expensive as it would mean running a parallel line, in the long run probably a better option.
moneymakerParticipantIf I were to suddenly come up with a cure for cancer, the money being spent right now on research, doctors, therapy, would not suddenly start flowing into my pocket, hence definitely not even close to being zero sum. AI may be used to predict outcomes in zero sum games, but not at other times.
moneymakerParticipantI don’t think a power washer would work, it would make all the paper wet and sticky, definitely not staged. The pool would be beautiful if cleaned up properly, don’t see too many pools with jacuzzi and children’s pool attached. It will be interesting to see what it goes for! My guess is well below asking
moneymakerParticipantOf the 10 highest paying noted, I would only buy Ford and ATT, pray tell what is/was the teaser stock added to Cabot’s portfolio?
moneymakerParticipantI read that many companies sell their private stock to pay the dividend, I guess it depends on if they have cash on hand or not. From what I hear most companies are cash strapped as they have over extended themselves with the low interest rates that have been around. Kinda a mute point since so many companies don’t pay a dividend anymore.

Not a single picture oriented up and two misspellings in last 2 sentences.moneymakerParticipantOk so I finally figured out why DMV registration was so high, son got a parking ticket, didn’t pay it so it got tacked onto the vehicle registration. Says he will reimburse me, just had to read the fine print on the renewal notice.
moneymakerParticipantOk so I checked Texas and you have to have a safety inspection done every year in addition to the registration renewal and smog. Just found out virtually every state requires mandatory insurance as well as smog. Registration is yearly not every other year like smog. Damn what happened to the old days when there wasn’t a charge for every frickin thing!
If I didn’t have 6 vehicles I probably would not care, so yeah maybe I should part with some of them!
1 truck
1 SUV
1 sedan
1 sports car
1 RV
1 motorcycle
Rarely drive the SUV or truck, but when you need a truck nothing else will do, of course they are both 4×4.moneymakerParticipantWish the DMV provided me a history of fees paid like most private companies.
