This guy doesn’t know what he is talking about. The developers build what is zoned by the city. The city adopts a General Plan that is developed based on the number of housing needs, which is based on growth projections by SANDAG. Not everyone can have a 3,000 sq ft house and an acre of land.
In some countries they call this smart growth. The only difference is, in smart countries not everyone has a garage, but rather has good public investment in to mass transit. Also if CV built their idea correctly, the people that owned this house would be able to walk to the store, park and use a future commuter rail line into downtown san diego.
Bottom line is, if you want a 3,000sqft house and a huge backyard to grow lots of plants and crap, don’t buy in Chula Vista. Move out to Santuky and get yourself a double wide on an open plot of land.
This guy is probably one of those guys that was making $300k a month back in the hey day and now is struggling to come up with an idea to sell properties again.

lostcat92120ParticipantNo one is safe is right. Even if you think you are, you never know what the govt has in store. Everything you think is yours could be gone tomorrow, this includes your freedom.
