The unit listed at $695,000 is not the same as the unit in the link from two years ago, but it still seems like list prices for ocean view and non ocean view condos on the bluff in Solana Beach have tapered off.

HappsParticipantIt finally looks like prices are coming down along the coast in Solana Beach on S. Sierra Avenue since I first posted 2 years ago.

April 25, 2009 at 4:16 PM in reply to: OT: There’s never been a better time to buy a GM car…. #387229HappsParticipantI know there might be deals out there, but who would want to endure having to buy a car at a dealership. Everyone I’ve talked to hates it and it’s a sleazy experience replete with high pressure add ons, changing the price after agreeing on it, etc. I’ve never purchased a new car but when I’ve gone to the dealership to get dealer only parts for my car and I ask for the parts department, it takes over a minute for the salesman to tell me where it is, instead putting on a sales pitch even though I’m not interested. Plus, why buy a new car, even from a brand that might be discontinued, since the moment you leave the dealership, it’s already depreciated. It’s best to buy a used low mileage car after 5 years, especially a discontinued brand. Just my two cents. If you really want a G8, want not buy a used one from a private seller?

HappsParticipantGood perspectives about gated communities and neighborliness. It’s my first time in a gated community and some of the behaviors seem odd to me, like people stopping at the mailbox and then driving to their house about 300ft away. Then their is the couple who drive their car at least once a day to their parent’s house about 6 houses down instead of walking and no they are not disabled. Picture a street of 2,000 sq ft tract homes and it would take you less than 5 minutes to walk 6 houses down. I’m not being a busybody but I can’t help but notice this since it all happen right in front of me as I look outside the window as I type.
