My lease was up last November and I found most UTC apts complex had concessions and deals. I rented a better unit than the one I had been renting with 2 months free rent for a 12 month lease. This effectively puts my rent back to 2004 price. The office manager told me that they were requesting the complex owners to move away from concessions and just lower the base rent. The unit that I Vacated has not been rented yet.

I have unobstructed views of Mount Soledad and the Mormon church so I’ve seen many good sunsets since I moved in. The 1/1/10 sunset was special. I made the effort of setting the tripod and taking several pictures.

No wonder why he lowered the interest rate to almost zero and made the Federal Reserve buy MBS. He personally benefited from these actions by being able to refinance at a very low rate. Besides he probably bought too much house. Another reason he is trying to keep RE prices as high as possible.
