If your argument is that power corrupts, I don’t see how big or small government is relevant. Limiting government and deregulation would just shift the power structure to big business and the private sector, where corruption and greed still take place as well. Its more of a human nature issue than a political science debate, imho.

If I were to buy in Temecula right now Morgan Hill would be my choice. We bought in Wolf Creek 4 years ago and we are happy but Morgan Hill seems a bit more mellow in general. We are within 2 miles of a high school, a middle school, an elementary school, a huge sports park, a fire station, a casino, and Pechanga Parkway. Not to mention there are 2 commercial lots yet to be built which will add to the congestion.

Every time I drive through Morgan Hill I consider moving there because of its location, views, and peacefulness. Both Morgan Valley and Morgan Hill have some great deals right now.

On a somewhat related note, Temecula was recently ranked the 2nd safest city in America for cities with over 100,000 residents based on FBI crime statistics.

I have been commuting to Encinitas from South Temecula during rush hour for a few years. It takes any where from 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on seasonal traffic patterns. It takes about 25 minutes to get to the 78 from my driveway…

Hello everyone, Ive been a moderate follower of this site for the last 4 years or so and this is my first post.

We moved to South Temecula almost 3 years ago from Carmel Valley. We moved here for most of the pros mentioned earlier in this thread and I have to say I dont see us ever leaving. We are exremely happy here and the negatives are a blip on the radar compared to the positives. In fact I dont have anything negative to say about the area.

BTW, I am also a liberal leaning, free thinking agnostic and have never felt uncomfortable but the area is defanitely conservative and religous. But so are nearly all of the people I do business with in coastal north county and OC.
