Sorry, got “careless”. Saw the Fusion on MSNBC AD and just babbled something stupid. I work at the only UAW assembly plant in the city of Detroit. Jeep Grand Cherokee, Dodge Durango soon to be “Jeep Wagoner”. I served as alternate steward on 2nd shift, at “Jefferson” when they hired a full shift of $15 dollar employees. They averaged 19 years old and 90% were from the city. This was the first plant to take advantage of the wage cut and did they ever.
I will never forget being called to medical the first week. A kid needed emergency care. He had no insurance. They did not know what to do. A Chrysler worker with no healthcare? Nobody ever figured the 90 day wait for coverage would breed this. The nurse finally found a free clinic. Macaronni makes his millions and props up Fiat just like the Germans stole 10 billion cash in 1999. So forgive the error and the rant, just hoping to retire out there soon and personally thank the people who have helped me settle my kids there especially Bearish Gal.Motown

Yes correct , I am on plan b now. Hold everything for 21 years until they are paid off. But really love San Clemente, and wonder about Talega future demand/supply.

I had house #1 paid for @40 yrs old-1990 value-275k.
I qualified for a mortgage and bought a 2500sf condo for 230k. My wife said 2 years later we need more room. I again qualified for a second mortgage but failed to get asking price for condo so I rented it for 2k a month.Bought current house 2003 289k.
So in 2003, House 1 rent pays mortgage on condo,and rent from condo pays mortgage on principal residence. All of a sudden I control 3-300k properties, and have no payment now i am underwater on 2 of 3.

I cannot thank you enough for all of your sound advice both now and last year as I searched for my sons apartment. He followed advice and lives in San Diego in a zip code you recommended. He is so happy.He never wants to leave San Diego, enrolled in a Art Class almost next door, got a bus card and feels better than anytime I can remember. Thanks, already liked condos on black mountain drive that are 90k. 1 br 700 sf. but with baby need 2br and they get 150 k for 2nd bedroom. any condo sites away from freeway come to mind that would be worth me popping a down stroke for them? Or rent and wait?

Thank you again for the kindness. The 2 boys are both working in San Diego. One at the new Federal courthouse downtown, one at Torrey Pines doing a new chiller. It appears the work that is being awarded is mainly government military bases and colleges all near the ocean. (So far) 1 job is in El Centro as geothermal piping is wearing -but the boy is provided a motel room if sent there. I will explore the recommended areas and then report back here with any input or questions. Again thank you-p.s I drove from Temecula to almost Palomar Mountain and to Fallbrook. The roads and isolation overwhelmed this 61 year old , and now have eliminated these areas as well as probably Valley Center orany 1 lane road period. found while in Detroit exploring areas by computer—looks good on computer-but the drive on winding roads with tailgaters caused me to be short with my wife and hope she will talk to me tomorrow. Thanks for the much needed help.
