Depends upon what they did. If you are going to ‘dig the entire bottom of the house’, it is easier and cheaper to level the house and then rebuild. It is very hard to dig out under a slab house to completely rebuild the foundation. Does anyone have photos of the work-in-progress? It would be interesting to know what exactly was the original problem and what was done to remedy it.
It was dig outside of the entire bottom and there was some iron wiring rounded through entire foundation. Didn’t see nor watch what they might have done inside and perhaps (sure) they didn’t do inside at all.

5yearwaiterParticipant
These are the Lone Bluff homes. We have talked about these alot as they have foundation problems due to geological conditions.
The engineers and contractors worked on all these homes almost 9 months long time and dig the entire bottom of house and rewire or reengineered the entire house and rebuilt almost. Do you(we) still consider about these homes still have foundation deffected ones? My opinion is – may be these homes are now much stronger than anyother homes in 4S ranch as these homes almost rebuilt from the foundation level with a solid engineers and perhaps a valid worth of work. Just as a opinion, but still unknown real facts about these homes. Of course there is no doubt these homes are listed with much premium price and when you finish the other things in this home that might reach a lot premium price.

5yearwaiterParticipant
I’ll go one better on HLS. I had clients close a $697,500 loan about a month at 5.125% and before they made a payment he was able to refi them down to 4.75% with no costs or penalties to them. I still dont know how he pulled that off but that is amazing. They will save a couple thousand a year for the life of the loan, didnt extend their term and didnt spend a penny to do it. WTF He’s the man!
HLS, Wow!! great rate then?. If anyone want to take 417K for 30yr fixed what kind of rate is possible these days? Is there any top discounted rates as per today news saying “Mortgage rates record low”.
