February 22, 2008 at 11:53 PM #158450North County NativeParticipantWe have friends that were renting one of these houses. It turns out that the landlord was pocketing their money! They only had a few days to move out… with 2 toddlers and a newborn. It was so sad. I know that their landlord owned at least 2 of the houses on Joy. Its so sad that somebody irresponsible can ruin or cause a crisis for other people just trying to live their life! The house was gorgeous and it really isn’t as noisy as the previous poster stated. The houses are up much higher than the road. Curiously though, the city of San Marcos has a trail that goes right through part of the yard of the southernmost house! There is no way to fence it off so its weird, hikers look like they are walking through the yard and into the front yard. That bugged them a lot.
