That brings up something we never talk about here…I would be willing to bet the people who are aware of the proper way to handle their finances/housing costs is at an all-time high right now. The news has been filled with coverage of the sham loans of the last few years and what has happened to people who blazed that path of folly.

I think there are still plenty of people who aren’t aware of the proper way to handle their finances. I know several people who have massive credit debt and are unwilling to stop spending beyond their means. It may not be on their mortgage, but it’s still not financially sound.
