Tired of looking at oil meter?

I only change my oil every 10k on my 2005 Tahoe, so to reset the oil meter: Put car in neutral with car off, pump gas pedal twice.

When I picked up the car after an oil change the dealer forgot to set the the meter, so as I was sitting in the car the mechanic told me what to do, this is the actual way to reset it, bizzare. The 10k is because I am lazy.
