Flag and Conned,
Other sdrealtor here (there are two of us). I can completely understand how overwhelming the whole RE process is. For example, i find the act of signing loan documents completely unnerving. Even after walking numerous clients through the process and signing them at least a dozen times myself, the process is always the same. You sit down with good intentions of reviewing the documents but at some point in the process it becomes too much to continue and everyone and I mean everyone capitulates. You ask question after question but eventually you get worn out and relie on the mortgage broker to be honest and thorough to some degree. This much I understand and can see how so many got conned by slick operators. What I am curious about is how many properties were involved for each of you? Did you buy one, two, three or maybe more? If it’s 1 or 2, I think you’ll get more sympathy. If on the otherhand, you bought a handfull in a short period of time, well I’d have to agree with the others that you fell off the stupid truck.

June 20, 2007 at 12:15 AM #60670what_a_disastaParticipantThe “Stonewood Scam” only became a scam because you lost money. If it had paid off you would have thought you were all the new Warren Buffet. That’s investing (gambling) for you! You win some, you lose some. If you don’t know how to play, you are going to lose a lot more than you win. If you can’t take losing, don’t play at all.

June 20, 2007 at 12:34 PM #60770AnonymousGuestNow WHY would I start giving you actual figures and such that you could then, in your sanctimonious hypocrisy, use to beat me up with? Please, I have more sense than that.
There are links off our site where you can read many of the cases and the filed evidence. I will tell you there was outright Forgery in many instances and outright Fraud. This can and will be substantiated in a court of law.
I’m sure Everyone has made a mistake or two. I’ll know better than to do it again.
My purpose is to locate other victims and try and educate the public. While I would Never purport to be as knowledgable as you fine folks, I think we can be helpful in preventing this from happening to others. I could really care less whether certain people believe we are victims or not. In the eyes of the FBI, SEC, IRS, DA, and the DRE we are victims who lost real money, and not funny money. Real families are hurt. Old, young, intelligent, stupid, attorneys, doctors, engineers, scientists, all walks of life. Religious and non-religious.
If you want a good read, check out Barry Minkow’s book “Cleaning Up.” It really is an eye opener how the knowledge of the scam is kept to a minimum of people and the rest of the company believes in its full legitimacy which sells more victims on it.
May all your investments bring golden returns.

June 20, 2007 at 12:54 PM #60778sdrealtorParticipantI dont understand how disclosing the number of properties you purchased is so sensitive a topic. If you bought a couple, it’s reasonable. Lot’s of people do that and add to their holding sover time. If you bought several in a year or two, I have a heard time understanding how any prudent person could expect to carry them with a normal income level. I have no problem seeing you as vicitims as you were victims of more than a bunch of crooks if you bought more than 1 or 2 properties. You were victims of your own greed and ignorance.

Your site deletes any opposing view, not just the hate spewers. As such any information you present on it is corrupted by the censorship.
The poster Snoop on your site summed it up well in a response before you deleted it. Snoop’s words were clear: if it had worked, we’d all want in…
Nobody that was cleanly scammed thinks of it as “if it had worked”.
It may have ended in forgeries, but I fail to see anything that indicates it isn’t a bunch thinking like Casey Serin and bending laws like Casey Serin and crying fowl when it imploded like Casey Serin.

June 20, 2007 at 2:37 PM #60800AnonymousGuestTrue..it isn’t a state secret.
They purchased me 2 properties and my spouse 1.
They sold 2 in October. Forged my signature on a wire transfer form, and stole proceeds from 1 sale.
The second sale included a forged grant deed at a transfer of $0 where they turned around and sold it to someone else for an additional $100,000.
The third property and only property left is in default. They put a relative of the crooks in the property and stole the 1st month’s rent. I had no contract w/ this company to manage my property and had no idea they were going to rent it out. Now a renter has to be evicted although they have lived there rent free for 5 months.June 20, 2007 at 2:37 PM #60835AnonymousGuestTrue..it isn’t a state secret.
