23109, Mea Culpa, it was I who mentioned you. Six months ago I debated with you and tried to talk you out of it because you mentioned numerous times you wanted a slightly larger place and I felt you were talking yourself into something you knew was wrong. There is a very good book called Leadership and Self Deception.
I happen to read it at the time were having those debates and I was struggling with the same situation you were at the time, I still struggle today. I wasn’t attempting to gloat, just re-affirming my own gamble that I could have easlily lost if my guess was wrong. You should still read the book, it may open your eyes to some things you are partially still doing. I wished you had listened but I understand why you rationalized your decision and you are right, it is not the end of the world, it’s just money. Look at the bright side, you’ve helped others so you have good karma going for you. I sat at the abyss and got within inches of submitting an offer just a month or two back and thought to myself that I would be a complete hypocrit if I do exactly what I told 23109 to not do, buy a house that I mostly like for a price i mostly liked when a little more time will get me exactly what I want for what I want all the while ignoring all of the advice that I solicited. I floated the specifics and a few folks here planted enough doubt in me that I backed out and I am forever greatful.
This will not be the last decision you will make during your time on this planet, learn from it and consider it just tuition in an ongoing education.

January 22, 2008 at 8:12 PM #141019AnonymousGuestHey I’ve read warnings about deceptive listings for “Redhawk Area” but aren’t truly in Redhawk, not being very familiar with Temecula, what are the streets/borders that mark the Redhawk area? Thanks

January 22, 2008 at 8:15 PM #141023NotCrankyParticipant23109VC here is a link to a book about prety easy built in projects. I am posting it since you mentioned wanting to build closet organizers.
Really easy and inexpensive closet organizers. They are pretty basic but very functional. The section that the cover photo is from covers how to make them from MDF.These are paint grade. I have built them in a couple of houses including the one I live in now. You can buy baskets and bins and build the shelves and cubby holes around the sizes you find or get the baskets and bins that fit later. If you like the project I can give you some pointers that would make it even easier. Just for example an example of the cost, a twelve foot wide wall closet would be about $250 for materials including paint.
