Some poor souls have nothing to do but hate. Hate the loser, hate the winner it doesn’t matter, if they can’t spell F&*% em all. The same people who wallow in the demise of this woman can’t stand the same stupid, poor spellers who made $500k for buying one shack in 1995.
Take this story. My former neighbor. Comes to San Diego circa 1997 with the intent to got to Mesa College and then do his pre-med at UCSD. He looks around and decides he could buy a house with 10K down from his Grandpa, or something like that, and rent rooms to his classmates. He pays no mortgage because the renters cover it all and has 400k in equity by the time he is doing his internship. Really nice guy too.He worked all the way through school(for as long as I knew him). He is now probably a young doctor with money. Can you imagine that, a doctor with money? Let’s start a new thread!

August 10, 2007 at 5:22 PM #73040NotCrankyParticipantno, never heard of it… did a bunch of bitter renters stone her???
i did see life of brian… “let he who is without sin, cast the first [thwack!]…”
Nope Drunkle, Unable to realize or not caring that the woman’s own sick mind was getting the best of her, a bunch of her sisters in God decided to thrash her with stones for being pregant. I think it might have had something to do with their wombs being vacant though. Maybe it relates to this thread. I don’t know.

August 10, 2007 at 6:02 PM #73061AnonymousGuestI hate to see people in trouble, as I’m sure this lady is – even when it is their own fault. Just because she was stupid/greedy doesn’t mean that she deserves to suffer now imo.
I try to have compassion, but it is hard. I’m very bitter about this whole housing bubble. I grew up seeing my parents able to buy their houses after saving and being responsible about money. I was raised that if I worked hard in school, got a good job and and saved my money, that I could achieve this too.
I’ve been working for over 5 years and have had to constantly stay silent or give a smile when my boss, a coworker or a myriad of other people bragged and gloated constantly about how rich they were because they happened to buy a house and its value went up 2-3 times. I had to sit there and smile when they bragged about owning a house in Cali, and how they could never leave because they couldn’t afford to move back.
Where was their compassion then, for the rest of us who were “priced out forever?” Oh, that’s right: there was none – none for those who would never be able to buy unless we wanted to become debt-slaves and finance their new-found rich lifestyle.
I have a lot more compassion for this new generation of kids coming out of school, looking at the daunting task of buying a 500k starter house that until recently, was appreciating at a rate far exceeding any pay raises they’d ever be getting.

August 10, 2007 at 6:10 PM #73069drunkleParticipanthmm… maybe her pregnancy is a metaphor for home ownership… her jealous sisters being but bitter (and barren) spinsters/renters…
although the vacant womb is a twist. like this murrieta woman’s vacant home, she can’t be both pregnant and have a vacancy at the same time…

August 10, 2007 at 6:12 PM #73076joebadubaParticipantI’m just saying I might feel a little differently about this lady if she wasn’t trying to sell these regal residences using the same kool-aid that probably got her into trouble.
