I have to admit, it’s brilliant marketing on the part of the Republicans to move the goal post to the right in the minds of that American public. From an objective political science standpoint, the whole world has pretty much moved rightward, even the Northern European countries.
Well said!

February 12, 2020 at 7:13 AM #814729CoronitaParticipantI think it was totally awesome that Pete did as well as he did in Bernie’s backyard, so to speak. Bernie should have pulled away in NH but didn’t. Each got the same number 9. Bernie is in trouble. Good.
Adios Crazy Warren, say hi to Harris … ha ha ha ha
Go Pete!
February 12, 2020 at 7:20 AM #814730FlyerInHiGuestI’d rather have Bernie over Pete. Pete would be a White gay Obama. Too compromising and lame.
The Democrats have a chance to nominate an answer to Trump and win. If Trump won because of Obama, Bernie can win because of Trump. Go Bernie!
February 14, 2020 at 5:32 AM #814762The-ShovelerParticipantI like Cheese, Milk, Cheeseburgers and real milk shakes.
I made up my mind, I cannot vote for someone who is anti cow.

FLU is right. Mayor Pete is more electable. Even Trump would vote for him.
You know what they say about guys in the closet. Come on out Brian

I personally don’t think it really matters who the Democrats choose as their candidate. Unless the economy melts down, it’s going to be tough to convince the American public alter course minus heavy leaning blue states. But Pete is someone I could vote for.

I’m voting for Bernie in Nevada because I want a fighter in response to Trump.
It will all depend on less 100,000 voters in the sunset states. Are they happy with Trump or are they feeling cheated by Trump? If we have a chance to elect a democratic socialist, now is the time, in reaction to Trump., like Carter was arguably in reaction to Nixon, and Trump in reaction to Obama.
Pete is not electable according to Rush Limbaugh. America is not ready for a gay president he says. What does “not ready” even mean? The conservatives are nuts. If we’re gonna be ready one day, why not just accelerate progress and get it done?
Bernie will not be afraid to use Trump’s tactics to get things done. Pete will be soft and rely on his McKenzie advisors, like Obama relied on his Ivy League friends.
That said, if we get Pete as the nominee, I will support him. But he’s lame. Pete is a fine person, I’m sure. I love, love, love the fact that he’s a polyglot.
February 14, 2020 at 10:25 AM #814766The-ShovelerParticipantIMO if Bernie wins the nomination the democratic party will commit hari kari to ensure Trump gets reelected.
They really want something like CA with an individual mandate (not social medicine)
It will kill all their big donors like Kaiser.
Besides I Think Bernie is Anti-Cow IMO.

What is wrong with Obama? He was one of the best Presidents. It’s funny how some of you were big Obama supporters, but you are now throwing him under the bus.
Didn’t they say that Trump was the easier opponent for Hillary to beat?
We deserve who we elect.
February 14, 2020 at 10:41 AM #814770FlyerInHiGuestObama was a great President. But he could have done a lot more. He tried to compromise with Republicans so he wasted a lot of political capital for nothing. Bernie knows that.
February 14, 2020 at 10:51 AM #814772The-ShovelerParticipantIMO being Anti-Cow or not will become one of the biggest political issues during the election.
Maybe #2 right behind health care.
I like Milk and other Cow products.
