Did you read the article? Failing that, did you read the FIRST PARAGRAPH? You know, the part about Obama continuing a Bush policy?
Continuing a Bush policy? LOL! Bush’s ‘central front’ in the ‘War on Terror’ was Iraq. Obama is in the process of getting us out of Iraq and re-focussing our efforts on Afghanistan.
Obama is rebuking Bush’s policies.
This is a Gates plan. Gates has been in since 2006 he is a protege of Zbig Brezinski who is Obama’s foreign policy advisor. They changed the neocon plan back in 2006 when Gates was put in as SOD. Though the Israeli faction of the neocon’s was pushing bombing Iran up until Bush left office, and still might independently. This new direction has been in place since 2006.
And OBL is long long dead. You’re are being lied to.

January 24, 2009 at 11:21 AM #334820afx114ParticipantObama campaigned on getting out of Iraq and ramping up in Afghanistan and, if necessary, in Pakistan. I fail to see how this is a continuation of Bush’s policies when Obama is doing exactly what he said he would do.
Now if Obama was using drones to bomb Iraq, then you’d have an argument.

January 24, 2009 at 11:43 AM #334827CoronitaParticipant
Obama’s moves on China in the next few months will give everyone a very clear indication of how his administration is planning on dealing with what could be the biggest strategic threat of his Presidency.
And you better believe he’s going to scapegoat China in this mess.
I still don’t understand all those chinese americans that voted for this administration. Like i said before, the Democrats have *not* generally been friendly to asians, period…
Everything is pointing to a trade war, and blaming “foreign workers”…Proping up union workers like UAW on failed business models and antiquated labor contracts.
I can totally see Obama sign an executive order similiar to Executive Order 6102, by yours truely Roosevelt. And plenty of those union folks would be laughing their asses off.
Be very very afraid.
Good news to folks that bitch about expensive home prices in “asian interested areas” though, or folks that are anti H1-B’s.
Allan,
I think I want to hang out with you and learn how to live like a survivalist. I’ll dye my hair blond and take skin pigments while in training.Seriously considering about arming myself these days for protection, to exercise my constitutional right (while I still have them). Afterall, it’s a long drive to canada.January 24, 2009 at 11:43 AM #335155CoronitaParticipant
Obama’s moves on China in the next few months will give everyone a very clear indication of how his administration is planning on dealing with what could be the biggest strategic threat of his Presidency.
