OT: How much you folks paying for internet/tv?

Wow, I’m surprised. I loved Cox. I HATE Time Warner. I bundled everything and it was less than that. I had unlimited long distance w/ call waiting and forwarding. Of course that was 2 and a half years ago. Cox was reliable. I hardly ever had problems with my service and when I did I was credited, no hassle.

Time Warner sucks. My phone goes out ALL the time. My internet goes out frequently. I go through periods where I have to unplug my modem and reboot all the time. It took well over a year for them to fix the cable TV. They are jerks about crediting you. When ATT&T came though the neighborhood all my neighbors switched. I’ve noticed Time Warner Customer Service seems to be more responsive now.

Mine just did and my bill jumped from $100 to $140… I called and am downgrading the stuff in the bundle I didn’t want, but took because it was cheaper to get the bundle… I have a landline and don’t need the phone… I have a tivo with cable cards and don’t need the settop. This will knock me back down to under $100 for cable and internet.

Well, to be contrary, we only pay $30/mo for Verizon 3MB DSL. The TV lives in the closet and comes out to play DVD’s. Not sure if we still pay Netflix $8/mo… my wife may have cancelled it,

When the bundle intro price runs out, I’ll go back to basic cable. I should be out of my bed by then. and then i can also switch back to basic dsl too, unless u-verse extends my pricing…Contrary to what they may thing, I’m not going to get addicted to it and could freely give it up after the promotion ends.

Actually, if you have u-verse, you can ditch the landline phone, i was told. You can’t with dsl.
