You say that you’re not excusing the behavior of the pirates, but two sentences later, you actually mention that the criminality “started” with Europe.
That’s because it did start in Europe, as you would understand had you read the UN report which you obviously didn’t. And again, I have said repeatedly that that in no way excuses the behavior of these criminal pirate thugs. However, “civilized” countries must lead the way by behaving in a civilized manner if they expect “savage” countries to do the same. Dumping toxic waste and illegally poaching the natural resources of another country are not civilized behaviors, just as pirating, murder, and looting aren’t either.
