February 20, 2009 at 1:35 PM #350999mazeltovParticipantAt what bank / branch was it?
I would be hard for an employee to steal $700 just like that given the number of cameras that are now in place in most banks.
If he gets caught, the employee would not only lose his jobs but have a criminal record.I see two possible explanations:
1) you friend didn’t count right at the first place. She counted $2100 when it was in fact $1400.
2) her sister is the one who tricked her.February 20, 2009 at 1:35 PM #351125mazeltovParticipantAt what bank / branch was it?

Don’t be so greedy, you have 500k in the account.. someone that can’t do basic math is lucky to have that amount. Don’t blame someone who is under a camera and at risk of a felony for trying to steal a stack of cash in front of coworkers.
“”””She’s absolutely sure she brought 2100+5580 to the bank. Does she have any recourse? Could a security camera had captured anything? She and her sister have nearly 500K at this bank in money market accts and CDs, and also all their visa/mastercards are issued by this large bank. She absolutely has no need to steal 700 from the bank…””””
The tellers have access to hundreds of thousands and the bank has access to millions.. they don’t need to steal her money either.
