[quote=DWCAP]Blech, I worry about Obama, but not for any of the above junk.
Most of this is party like crap like “You scare me beacuse you use ‘extortion tactics against banks and corporations”, as if that was somehow something only he did. Barney Frank has been doing it for YEARS and YEARS with home loans and such. Paulson basically inprisioned the CEO’s of the big 9 back in October until they signed on to the TARP.
Or
” You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America and culturally you are not an American.”
That is one of the most un-american things I have ever heard.
I worry about Obama because he doesnt have to compromise if he doesnt wanna. There is no effective check on him right now, not even the media. What was that line, ‘absoulte power corrupts absoultely’.
I worry about Obama because we have man who has really no leadership experience or buisness experience leading the biggest financial melt down in 60+ years. So far he hasnt done bad, but that was the easy part. We are very good about spending money to clean up the mess, we are very bad about avoiding future messes and slowing the flow of money when the time comes.
I worry about Obama due to the cult of personality that surrounds him. He signs a anti tobacco bill, and talks about himself in the process. People swoon over his government sponsored date in NY. He really can’t fail now, cause in the eyes of his supporters (read media) he inherited a unteniable situtation AND is already inspiring because he is already the first black president. He is elequent, good looking and likeable. If in 4 years he has totally failed, it will still be Bush’s fault. If he succedes, then it is all him. Heads I win, tails you loose.
But the above stuff is crap lead by the biggest load of all in the first line:
‘You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you.’Obviously Lou, you havnt been paying attention.

I’ve paid plenty attention to Obama and his past. I suspect probably as much or more than anyone on this board and maybe as much or more than many in the media since I grew up and lived on the south-side of Chicago very near where Obama lived and I have many of the same questions.
The problem with Obama is he says he is for stuff that will garner support like transparency but we haven’t had one iota of transparency from this administration or for that matter the Obama campaign.
Obama didn’t answer questions about his connections with Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers, ex-Gov Blago, Rezko or Sen Burris. He doesn’t like questions. He says he’ll answer everything but never does. He was allowed by the slobbering media to give statements.
And other than Fox, few in the media ever ask him for answers. The media appears to be either too smitten or too scared to challenge him.
So much for his first promise….transparency.
