My model for airport security.
1. Separate crew compartment from passengers. Like Israel does.
2. No searches, metal detectors or carry ons. You are allowed to walk on the plane with one personal item.
3. All bags must be checked and screened.
4. Strict policy of no negotiation with terrorists.

1, 3, and 4 make sense, kewp.
However, with the bad guys operating in groups and assembling bombs in the lavatory from pieces that they individually brought in (that’s why there’s no congregating near the lavatory and why we can only bring small amounts of liquids onboard), we need searches, still.
Those big ‘sniffers’ — sniffing for explosives — make a lot of sense.
And, we need firm interrogation of ‘likely suspects,’ just as the Israelis do.
Unfortunately, we won’t get these things until after the next attack wave.
