I don’t think $500mil would be enough to cover the losses in Riverside County, let alone the state or the nation.

July 25, 2007 at 10:01 PM #67810kewpParticipantI assume that renters that have been priced out of the market for the last few years will get a bail out also?
I’m waiting for my 30k check for a down payment any day now!

When I see things like this, it steels me to squeeze every last painful drop of value from the seller when I do eventually buy. Those are my tax dollars they agitated to spend with the sole purpsoe of moving value from me to them! No mercy! [And no more exclamation points!]

July 26, 2007 at 4:12 PM #67958AnonymousGuestI remember reading about some state’s bailout plans a while ago, and from what I remember, their qualification process was really strict. People were saying that the criteria would stop the majority of people who wanted the assistance from getting it.
Also, people will still have to ask for assistance. If they treat the solicitations they get like it’s just another creditor trying to get their money back from them, they could easily pass on their bailout w/o realizing it.
