still photos, it just doesn’t do her justice.
Still photos are more like real life as compared to a sexy video where she shows of her star power with all the props her talent included. I doubt a real life experience with her would be much different than any other pheromone laden close encounter with someone interesting. I still think the horse is deserving of at least equal pay.To bad the horse doesn’t even know what money is and may not benefit from its breeding and regimen either.
Since you like drama and we are on the topic of equestrian things you might check out the short “Equus” based on a play.
Nice post sifo.
Thanks for the comment megabear and CARenter. It was a great party and evening.

April 12, 2008 at 6:50 AM #185413jpinpbParticipantWith regard to the photos, I would like to make differentiation between “cute” and “sexy.” I said they were cute and I think the photos do show they’re cute. Now, sexy is another thing. Certainly watching Shakira move is sexy and I already admitted that I don’t find SJP sexy.
On to men/women/children. MPO men are no longer “needed.” Now before all you guys get in an uproar, continue reading. Back in the days women “needed” men for financial support, providing for a family and basically sperm.
Once women were able to work, women pretty much were able to provide for themselves and no longer needed a man for financial assistance. Depending on how motivated a woman was in her education/career, she could do very well for herself. There are many successful women who are substantially wealthy and have made a very good life for themselves. Some women making more than men.
Regardless of the amount of money women do or don’t make, even the average woman can make enough to support themselves. The degree of how lavish they live will vary on their income. The “need” for a man for financial support is eliminated in that regard.
We are left w/the true purpose of a man, his sperm. Since more and more men are adverse to having children, women again are left to their own means. There are some women who want children that have gone to a sperm bank. Once again, men have rendered themselves useless. The “need” for a man is elminated in what I dare say was the main reason for a man on this planet.
I have mixed feelings on whether it is essential having 2 parents. There are some messed up kids out there and certainly the problem can be traced back to one or both of the parents. If you have a devoted mother, you can do all that’s necessary for the proper upbringing of a child, including brothers, uncles, sports coaches so there are male figures in the child’s life.
Having said all that, I will say that the main reason women want men is to love them and be loved by them. And I don’t even mean in the sexual aspect, b/c there are things women can use to substitute in that area as well. The only reason a woman would stay in a long-term committed relationship is purely for and out of love. It would not even really be companionship b/c women have many friends who more than satisfy companionship aspect.
With regard to women who are too lazy to work and have the mindset that a man is going to or should provide for them, they are embarking upon the path of indentured servitude. You are “owned” by a man like chattel and are obligated to them. I have very little respect for women who prostitute themselves in this manner.
Having said that, many men bash gold-digging women. I would prefer they bash the men who seek out the gold-digging women. Without these men who are more than willing to pay, women would not have the demand. The men don’t care if the women want their money, apparently, or they wouldn’t be w/them.
The sad and unfortunate fact is that some men w/money believe they have power and use it to get what they want, and if they want some trophy woman, they will gladly pay for it.
Spitzer had no problem paying 4k a pop for his pleasure. Although the problem developed later for his indiscretion, but paying the money for it was not a problem or concern he had, not once, but repeatedly. As long as there are men out there like this who in one way or another will buy women, there will be women for sale.
Supply and demand. It’s not just applied in real estate!

April 12, 2008 at 7:33 AM #185428NavydocParticipantWow jp, you have a really cynical view of the traditional family. Kind of a shame really, but to each his/her own. FWIW, you may have mixed feelings about the 2 parent thing, but the data does not. It is very clear from the child psychiatry literature that children do best when raised in a caring 2 parent household (notice, I don’t distinguish gender, children can be raised quite successfully in a 2 parent same-sex environment). From my experiences working at inpatient child psych wards, virtually ALL of those kids come from dysfunctional families, the majority single parent. Typically it’s a single mother who exposes the children to multiple boyfriends. That is not to say that a single parent cannot raise a healthy child, it just makes it much more difficult to do. Anyone who has come from a broken home, especially if the home dissolved when the child is very young, has a much greater chance of having an unsuccessful marriage themselves, and unfortunately there is little they can do about it. It’s as if the lesson is learned very early that the best course of action when a marriage is in trouble is to give up.
Why does this stuff matter? I personally believe the majority of societal ills can be traced to the erosion of the American family. You’re simply much less likely to do drugs, commit a violent crime, drop out of school, etc. if you come from a stable family. Back in th 90’s the term “Family Values” became an anti-Republican buzzword, and I think that’s very unfortunate.
So jp, I must respectfully disagree, men are far more important than their sperm. I do agree that some men are made to be married and others aren’t, and I feel a little sorry for those in the latter group, as I am definitely in the former. My recent experience with parenthood is teaching me that I wouldn’t have missed this for the world, stress and all. And sorry Marion, I don’t know a good divorce lawyer,I hope to never need one.
