OF course costs are going up. Health inflation ran 5 % last year in a down economy. It was running at 12 plus % when the economy was humming. CBO estimates that it will trim 1.5 % off the growth rate. That means health costs will still far out pace the rate of inflation. But the curve is moved in the right direction, but clearly not enough.
When we finally go to single payer (and we will), we will then and only then have an inflation health care rate that approaches that of other nations.
