Wow. Sorry to interject a personal aside, but my wife’s parents built on one of the last lots on SW Mount Soledad with 270 degree views. They have over 1/2 acre, all usable, though on a hillside (still tiered it well to have yard and gardens below) and their views are much more impressive (IMO) than the Del Mar lot above. Their place must be worth crazy money as they bought the lot for peanuts many years ago and only built (a showpiece) in recent years after living in a modest apartment for years so they could pay for it (take a hint looters who got hurt in the bubble).
