When talking about politics with people I find it a lot easier to talk about policies rather than people. You can go on forever about “Mccain is a war hero patriot and Obama won’t wear a flag pin!”, but none of that really matters.
I find it much more satisfying to actually talk about things like a mortgage bailout, lower taxes, government intervention into personal lives, etc, because you can actually explain your stance on something with actual facts instead of just arguing about the MSM created facades of the politicians.
Also, when discussing policies you may actually enlighten someone who just looks at MSM facades to dig deeper into their candidate to see how much they actually agree with them.
